May 2026 Monforton School Board Candidate Information
Ballots for the May 2026 election have started to arrive. On the ballot for Monforton is one open trustee position. A school trustee is a volunteer position that, along with fellow elected trustees, is responsible for approving budgets, spending, hiring, priorities, and other key policies for the school. There are two candidates on the ballot.

March Grants
Experiential Learning Awards $260.50 to fund bus fees for the 3rd grade classes to attend the MSU Rodeo. Watching the rodeo will tie in with their Montana History lessons in social studies and their sports fiction unit in writing. $521.14 for the 3rd grade classes to attend Anderson School’s School Music Performance at the Emerson.

Experiential Learning Awards $150 to fund bus fees for the 6th grade classes to visit Cross Cut for a cross country skiing field trip. Major and Minor Grant Awards Minor Grants $308.50 awarded for the purchase of the Montana Treasure State award winning book “Feathers Together” by Caron Levis for each of the 25 elementary
